Writing a Super Mario screenplay; idea for next scene?

I'm working on a fan screenplay for a Super Mario movie, and I'm stuck. I've written nine pages, and now I want the story to pick up and Mario and Luigi, who in my script live in NYC, to go to the Mushroom Kingdom. I'm not revealing much about my script just yet, but does anyone have any ideas on how Mario and Luigi can end up in Mushroom Kingdom? I really don't want to do anything like they wake up there one day randomly, so your input will be appreciated! Thanks.
