Would this put an end to organized religion?

Why would it put an end to it? That info is out there already, along with video, etc... and still the majority doesn't believe and still clings to their personal religion. No... the only way something like religion ends is if the people following it leave the organization. Outside info is not a guarantee to stop such things.... please look at the total fiasco that Evolution has brought to religion... extremely religious people still think Evolution means we come from monkeys - and it doesn't even state that.
