The strange and mysterious mind of the human being?

The ancient people simply made up stories to explain what they couldn't understand. There are just some universal themes and values common to all humans, that's why you can find similar stories. But not all believed the same. Indo-Europeans believed in a cyclic pattern of life and rebirth. Others believed in an afterlife. Australian Aborigines still retell stories about the "Dreamtime." We all, more or less, create for ourselves similar quests to understand the universe. I trust science, most of all, because it's provable. Nobody will ever know which religion, if any, is correct until the very end of the world.
