About the evolution of religious practices.?

According to the out-of-Africa theory, all modern humans came from Africa some 90,000ya (not sure about the exact number). I think that there may have been an original set of religious beliefs, that continuously redefined itself through the ages varying with individual cultures/geography. Therefore, this proto-religion split into East(Buddhism and Taoism), West(Norse, Greek, Druid), and Middle-East(Monotheism, Egyptian, Sumerian, etcetc). What do you think ?
